Spring’s First Pour: Discover the Elements Range by Paserene

Spring's First Pour: Discover the Elements Range by Paserene, wine glass with grapes behind it

As the Franschhoek Valley stirs to life after winter, there’s a palpable shift in the air. Light stretches longer across the mountain ridges, delicate blossoms peek through the vines, and with the promise of renewal comes the perfect time to explore something fresh, bright, and beautifully crafted. At Paserene Wine Farm, this seasonal awakening is best savoured through a glass of wine that captures the vitality of spring: the Paserene Elements Range.

The Story Behind the Elements

The Elements Range is Paserene’s most expressive and accessible collection, 5 wines that mirror the untamed beauty of our valley and the purity of our craftsmanship. Named for earth, air, fire, and water in spirit, each bottle embodies an elemental aspect of winemaking: from soil to vine, from sky to cellar.

These wines are made to be enjoyed now. Youthful, elegant, and energetic, they honour the natural rhythms of the landscape and the hands that shape them.

Meet the Wines

Rosie

Delicate yet confident, Rosie is our dry rosé with a Provençal blush. Crafted with intention and minimal intervention, it carries notes of wild strawberries, rose petals, and a whisper of citrus zest. Think sun-warmed stone, fresh linen, and barefoot lunches under oak trees.

Perfect with: smoked trout, summer rolls, or goat’s cheese and cranberry tartlets.

Emerald

This Sauvignon Blanc dances between minerality and freshness. Hints of green fig, lime blossom, and subtle flint emerge on the nose, leading to a crisp palate and silky finish. It reflects the mountain air and cool-climate precision of our Franschhoek vineyards.

Perfect with: oysters, grilled asparagus, or a fresh garden salad with lemon vinaigrette.

Bright

A Chardonnay that is all elegance without heaviness. It opens with notes of white peach and almond flower, layered with subtle oak and bright acidity. Balanced and beguiling, Bright is a nod to refinement in simplicity.

Perfect with: roast chicken, miso-glazed aubergine, or creamy linguine with lemon and thyme.

Midnight

The boldest in the Elements Range, Midnight is a Cabernet-based red with depth and vibrancy. Expect blackberries, cracked pepper, and an edge of wild herbs. It’s a wine of shadows and spice, perfect for fireside evenings that stretch into the night.

Perfect with: chargrilled lamb, mushroom risotto, or dark chocolate with sea salt.

Dark

Mysterious and alluring, Dark is a Syrah-driven red that evokes the moody twilight hours of the valley. Notes of black cherry, smoked plum, and hints of violet unfold over a backdrop of earthy spice and soft tannins. It’s a wine of quiet intensity, where elegance meets the elemental.

Perfect with: venison carpaccio, black garlic tagliatelle, or aged cheddar by candlelight.

Spring Pairings: Fresh, Local, Inspired

The Elements Range is designed to complement the flavours of the season. As markets fill with spring greens, fresh cheeses, and early fruit, these wines find their perfect companions. Whether you're planning a garden lunch, a cheese board on the terrace, or a simple sunset toast, there's an Element to match the mood.
